Entry Level Pest Technician

Requirements for the position:
- Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
- Competency in processing paperwork.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Ability to pass three Oregon Department of Agriculture pesticide license tests within three months.
Duties include performing routes with other employees during the initial phase. Once fully licensed, you’ll be expected to run routes independently, consisting of regular maintenance and initial services. Customer retention is our #1 priority, so the applicant must be customer service-oriented.
You’ll be responsible for vehicle upkeep, including oil changes and regular cleaning. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining any equipment provided by Kanga. State-required pesticide application reports must be completed after service has been conducted at an account.
You’ll receive study material provided by Kanga Pest Control to pass all exams, and Entry Level Techs will receive pay increases with each test passed. Both field and virtual training will be provided. Entry Level Technicians will receive all benefits once trained and fully licensed with a Commercial Applicator License.

Experienced Pest Technician

Requirements for the position:
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable record.
- Minimum 12 months experience in the Pest Management Industry.
- Hold a valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator License in the state of Oregon.
- Minimum endorsement is I.I.H.S General Pest, with a preference for having I.I.H.S Structural endorsement.
- An understanding of Oregon’s pest pressures, able to identify ants, bed bugs, cockroaches, rodents, termites, etc.
The responsibilities include running maintenance routes, completing initial services, up-selling when necessary, prescribing the correct treatment to the customer, maintaining a customer service-oriented approach, and swift problem-solving,
Having some experience with exclusion services, familiarity with commercial accounts, and understanding of IPM and its implementation is preferred.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining your service vehicle and staying up-to-date with oil changes. All benefits listed for this position will be received at least one month into employment, with certain benefits like designated vehicles available sooner.
